Graphic design for print.
Abracadabra Music and Arts Festival, Paeroa.
Festival information posters.
2021

Looking to the past. My design draws inspiration from 1970's school camp posters. The design aesthetic for the festival was psychedelic 70's, lots of gold and wooden art installations. The festival director wanted something that would fit in with the repourposed and quirky art style. I layed the paper effect over to insinuate an old map that has been dug up in someones attic.

The designs were printed onto A1 250gsm high quality lazer print paper.

Festival merchandise.
2021

It's all about style. My design draws inspiration from current trends for SS21 surrounding the psychedelic 60's and 70's. Art Nouveau and graphic illustration set the theme for an artwork with feminine touch. The illustration involves imagery that represents different themes seen throughout the festival grounds: The Kraken, Boats, Retro, Mermaids, Shipwrecks. Can you spot the Koru? An added touch of Kiwiana to the design.

The merchandise was printed onto retro colour palettes, dusty pink, golden yellow and olive green.

Xtreme Zero Waste, Raglan.
Compactor truck digital mural.
2020

Making an impact.  XZW needed a digital mural for their new compactor truck that would make a real impression while driving around the streets of Raglan. To remind people of their duty towards preserving our precious environment, an eye catching image was requested.

The team at XZW sent me a rough sketch of their concept, which they wanted to be interpreted in my unique style. By working closely with XZW the mission was to create something that fit this brief: The driver gets barrelled, Waste hierarchy, Raglan landmarks, Korus guiding the eye along the waste hierarchy.

All elements in this design were hand drawn on a tablet. I created the composition and high quality finish in Illustrator, ready for large scale print.

Sewing classes.
2019, 2020

Eye catching originality.  Sarah reached out for some posters for her sewing business. Sarah's aesthetic entails a journey through colour, pattern and 'power-clashing.' Inspired by the local surround and Sarah's bubbly personality, I worked closely with her to create eye catching posters ready for web or print.

Everything in the design is hand drawn on a tablet.

Digital rendering for printing screen.
Elisabeth Denis, Raglan.
Art print T-shirts.
2019

Tidy.  Elisabeth presented her piece of collage art with the wish of transferring her idea onto garments. My role was to create a crisp, digital version of her work that could be sent to a screen company who would transfer her idea onto a screen to be used for printing garments. Part of my role was to use my creative eye to carefully select fonts, move lines around and edit the design slightly to optimise its print quality.

Branding for food product range.
Plant Kitchen (aka. pulp kitchen)
Graphic design for labels and social media.
2019

Simplicity.  Plant Kitchen used my creative services to design the branding for their food range. This included designing the logo, labelling and illustrations for their social media pages. The ethos for this vegan brand encompasses plant = medicine.

The finished outcomes drew inspiration from retro medicine bottles and french apothecary labels.
